New Zealand Ag Specialist
"The Value of Working Together"
Ron Gall, January 8

"The Value of Working Together" is the keynote topic that Ron Gall, Business Manager for Horticulture New Zealand, will deliver at this year's Pasco Ag Show. "We are thrilled to be able to host Mr. Gall and make his expertise available to the agricultural industry in the Mid-Columbia", says Walt Neff, Chairman of the event and a member of the Pasco Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.

Horticulture New Zealand is a trade organization representing the interests of New Zealand's 7,000 vegetable, fruit and berry growers. In July of 2005, New Zealand Vegetable, Fruitgrowers and Berry Fruit Growers decided that it was a better utilization of resources to cooperate and formed Horticulture New Zealand. "We just have more clout in every way when we speak with one voice, politically, both at regional and national levels", said Ron.

"New Zealand food producers have done innovative things to differentiate their products and compete in world markets. It is a real opportunity to have one of the people who have driven that process visit our area and share his expertise," offers Don Sleight, President of AgriNorthwest and chair of TRIDEC's Agribusiness Committee.
